Gaico, Corena and Guyana Shorebase Base Inc have come together to form a Sustainable Environmental Solutions (SES) to provide integrated hazardous waste management services in Guyana with Esso Exploration & Production Guyana Limited (EEPGL). SES is a result of a 10 year contract awarded to build, operate and maintain a state-of-the-art waste management facility. We are now in a unique position to support both EEPGL’s and any other potential clients needs for future growth in offshore exploration, development and production by providing cutting-edge waste management and environmental solutions.

Our facility has the capability to treat a mix of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The goal is waste reduction, recovery and recycling to minimize the need for landfill disposal. Materials such as drill cuttings, slops and sludges will be treated and the recovered base oils will be reused. The facility also consists of a wastewater treatment facility that will be able to treat both contaminated water to ensure that the discharged water is compliant with Guyana’s environmental regulations and standards while protecting our natural resources.
